4 months!

Another wonderful week in the beautiful land of Canada. I cant believe I hit my 4 month mark this week. Who knew that after 3 months time starts to fly?! This week dipped back down into the -25's again and my little fingers feel like they are going to freeze off. Hopefully people wont judge me when I come home with 3 fingers. Then I can finally do a great T-Rex impersonation :)
Sister MacMillan was feeling better this week so we jumped right back into work. We still wanted to take it a little easy so that her body could rest and heal but she is just non stop all the time that I have to sit down and tell her to rest. Shes just hard core and all. I seriously love my ward so much! they tell me all the time that they love me and they will be sad when the day comes for me to leave. Hopefully that wont be any time soon. I am okay going somewhere new, but only if I can take the ward with me :)
Funny story of the week. We were over at one of out investigators houses and when we knocked she opened the door and was telling us about how she just got a new dog. Right then the new dog bolted out the door down the street. So of course we all start running down the street trying to get the dog. I live in a logging town, so of course there is forest everywhere. So the dog bolts into the woods. Sister MacMillan without a second thought takes after it. and since that whole "sight and sound" applies I went trudging through the woods too. Thankfully it was mid day so the sun was out. In the end we ended up in snow up to our hips and sister MacMillan was stuck! haha. The dog eventually ran over to his owner and I dug sister MacMillan out of the snow. Its moments like this that make me so beyond happy for where I am serving and for stories like this when I am 90 years old. I will tell my grandbabies about my missionary times in Canada.
We saw some amazing miracles in out investigators this last week. We are teaching a couple Amanda and her fiancĂ©e Curtis. they are both in there young 20's and they have both been so prepared to receive this gospel (even though everyone I meet I feel is ready to be baptised) They agreed to read the book of mormon and they told us about how they have waiting to find something that works for them. I am just so excited for them. They have had a lot of sadness in their lives and I just want them to know that God loves them.
A lesson that I learned this week is that people need to be converted and re-converted to this gospel everyday! That it doesn't need to be a Sunday activity. That you should be talking about the gospel everyday of the week and sharing the happiness that it brings you with others.
I hope everyone has a great week. I love all of you and I hope you all choose to teach the right!!!

Hello all!

First of all! who knew going on a mission meant all of my friends would be getting married!!!!! Thankfully I have some friends on missions so at least they have sworn there life to live like a nun for awhile so I dont come home the only single person! Okay I will stop ranting :) Congrats to my wonderful kindred spirit friend Jessica Tolman. I wish you and Walt the best!!!!!!!
Well the cold snap of -40 has finally left the north! I seriously was about to go and crawl into an igloo and freeze to death. But now its only -10 and I am so happy!
This week was a great week for me and a rough one for my companion. She was sick all week so we had to take lots of breaks so that she could start feeling better. So it stunk for her, but it was great for me. I got to do so much studying and catching up on everything! I loved it!
My new companion is Sister MaCmillan she is from Canada and is so funny! she has been on her mission for 16 months and is a fantastic missionary. I still my Sister Shelley but its awesome to still grow and learn new things!
My wonderful investigator Debbie that accepted baptism is doing wonderful! she has read the entire Book of Mormon! in 2 months!!!!! She sure puts me to shame! the work here is Vanderhoof is still wonderful! even though this is a small town we are always finding people to teach and the ward here is absolutely amazing! I feel like I have my home away from home here!
Funny story time :) The 2 wards in our town had a Valentines dance together and tons of non members go and investigators and less actives. So we went and had a blast. Of course we are not allowed to dance (depth of despair) but we got to see all the old people dance the polka and have fun. But as we were talking to the youth I started to hear a rumor going around that one of the boys had a crush on me. haha So basically I am a big deal to the 15 year old boys up in the north. Who knew I needed to become a sister missionary and move to the frozen tundra to make a boy think I was cute. Thats its I'm moving to Canada! haha Nah I love my arctic circle and taco bell. Oh and my family :)
Well I hope everyone has a wonderful week I love you all!!!!

Changes

Well I am sure you can tell by the heading that there has been some changes up north in Vanderhoof. Sister Shelley got the Transfer call, I am now the District leader and she was moving down to the warm and sunny island! We were freaking out, we didn't want to leave each other but I knew my kindred spirit Sister Shelley needed to spread her wings and fly to a new area!
So then it turned into madness trying to pack all of her belonging and stuff them into my suitcases. But we finally got everything ready to go all we needed were flight plans down south so I could pick up my new companion. So we get to the day that we are supposed to fly out and the AP's call us as we are getting ready to leave out apartment and tell us that Sister Neubert is no longer flying down. We died! So we scrambled to get all of her belongings to fit.  Too bad sister Shelley loves to read and had to leave behind some books. Eventually we got everything to fit and I had to send my little mission mother on her way. It was like saying goodbye all over again at home. It was horrible. So I spent the next 3 days with a temp companion that got left behind also. It was kind of nice because we just combined both of our areas and come up with a game plan!
Eventually I got my new companion and she has been out for 16 months and seriously so funny! We have only been together for 3 days but I have to really try to focus because I could just talk to her all day long! Oh and she is a real Canadian. :)
Vanderhoof is doing great it was a really crazy week having 3 different companions and trying to come up with a game plan when I was so used to my trainer helping me with everything. I guess I need to put on my big girl pants (skirt) and learn!
I am super nervous to be a district leader! All of the sisters have been out for 6 months or 16months. Its insane, and I am over here like "oooh I just got trained" But the Lord has a plan for me and so I am just going to let him shape me into whatever he wants!
I hope everyone has a great week in nice warm weather. Don't worry its only been -40 this week!!!! So we have had to do a lot of in and out visits because our little toes would freeze off if we stayed out all day! My new companions first day she literally thought she was going to die! she had been down on the island so it was like +6 when she left only to come to -40. She thought her whole body had turned into a sheet of ice! So I taught her how to dress warmly!
I hope everyone has a great week. God loves you

Grateful

Oh what a week it has been. This has for sure been the fastest week of my entire mission. We are coming up on the end of this transfer so we will see if anything is changed around this week. But I can smell change in the air.
Well first of all my mother would be so proud of me. I am have become a little Betty Crocker since being on my mission. The crock pot is my new best friend. I make Sister Shelley suffer though my cooking at least once a week because I need to learn how to cook or else my family in the future will starve. But this last week I made flippin chicken cordon blue! Yea Betty Crocker from DA HOOF!
So this week we were out driving around and as missionaries someone has to back the driver up whenever they are reversing. (its looks unbelievable ridiculous!) So Sister Shelley was backing up on a super steep driveway going down. I told her to stop and she new it was going to be kind of tricky to get out so she revved the gas to go fast enough up. But then she was still in reverse! Obviously I didn't die. But it scared me half to death. So then I go back to get in the car and she is shaking. She started going off about how that scared her 1/2 to death. So then I looked at her and said " you think your scared! I almost died!!!" So then we had a laugh.
This week has been one of the colder weeks. It was -25c all day everyday. But I feel so much more prepared this cold spill then when I first got here. Thanks to all of my hand and feet warmers! (thanks grandma Jepsen) It was just crazy because we would be in the car for seriously 30sec and the windows would stat frosting over. I have no idea why people live in this cold. But they obviously need to be taught by sister shelley and neubert.
Last night we went to go and visit one of our investigators and she is 17 and super into drugs, smoking, drinking and her boyfriend in is 28! She spent all of her grocery money on tobacco this week to make her own cigarettes. its just a really sad situation. Sister Shelley and I just see her once a week and remind her that her Heavenly Father loves her and that she should keep praying. Last night we left and I seriously feel so spoiled for the life I have. My friends and family. Where my hardest decision in the day is deciding whose door to knock on. All I have to say is thank you mom and dad for not being crack heads and teaching me that I am worth something!
This Gospel teaches people that they are loved and that they have worth to their Heavenly Father. People that read this email. Promise me that you will never forget that you are loved!!!
Alright well enough with the sappy. I hope you all have a great week. I love you all!!!!!
